Privacy at a glance

We collect only the information reasonably needed to operate the website,
respond to inquiries, provide requested services, maintain security, and
understand basic website performance. We do not sell personal information
or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Scope and website operator

This Privacy Policy applies to the website located at
camberosaccounting.com and the information collected
through it. The website is operated by
Camberos Accounting & Advisory, a sole proprietorship operated
by Jorge “George” Camberos, CPA
, referred to in this policy as
“Camberos Accounting & Advisory,” “we,” “us,” or “our.”

This policy addresses website privacy practices. It does not replace an
engagement letter, professional-services agreement, tax information
authorization or consent, client privacy notice, written information
security plan, or the privacy terms of a third-party platform.

Information we collect

Information you provide

When you submit a website inquiry, call, or email us, we may collect:

  • Your name, email address, and telephone number.
  • Your business name and general information about your business.
  • The service or topic you are interested in.
  • The information you include in your message.
  • Your preferred method or time for us to contact you.

Information collected automatically

When you use the website, our hosting, content-management, security, and
measurement tools may automatically receive technical information such as
your Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, operating system,
pages requested, date and time of access, referring page, and information
used to maintain website performance and security.

Information from other sources

If you contact us through a professional referral, directory, social
platform, or other third party, we may receive the information you
authorized that source to provide. The third party’s own privacy policy
governs its collection and use of your information.

Please do not send sensitive information through the public
contact form or ordinary email.

Do not submit Social Security numbers, tax returns, tax documents,
banking information, passwords, payment-card information, or other
sensitive financial or identity information through the public website.
Active clients should use the secure TaxDome client portal for documents
and sensitive communications.

How we use information

We may use website information to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and determine whether our services may fit your needs.
  • Schedule or prepare for an introductory conversation.
  • Provide, administer, and improve our website and services.
  • Understand general website traffic and which pages are useful to visitors.
  • Protect the website, detect spam or misuse, and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Maintain business records and comply with applicable legal and professional obligations.
  • Enforce our agreements and protect our rights, users, clients, and others.

We will not use information collected through this website in a way that
is materially different from this policy without updating the policy and
providing any notice or choice required by applicable law.

Prospective-client inquiries

The contact form is intended only for an initial inquiry. Submitting a form,
sending an email, leaving a voicemail, or participating in an introductory
conversation does not create a CPA-client relationship, professional
engagement, fiduciary relationship, or obligation for us to provide services.

We generally respond to website inquiries within two business days. Before
an engagement begins, both parties must agree to the scope and terms of
services in a written engagement letter or other written agreement.

We generally retain prospective-client inquiry information for up to
12 months after the most recent meaningful contact. We may
retain it for a different period when reasonably necessary for security,
dispute prevention, legal compliance, recordkeeping, or when the person
becomes a client.

Client portal and tax information

TaxDome is our intended secure client portal and practice-management
platform. Client onboarding, document exchange, electronic signatures,
client communications, billing, and other engagement activity may be
conducted through TaxDome. Information you provide directly to TaxDome is
also subject to TaxDome’s applicable privacy and security terms.

Tax return information received in connection with tax preparation services
is subject to special federal restrictions, including Internal Revenue Code
Section 7216 and its regulations. We handle that information in accordance
with applicable law and use any required authorization or consent separately
from this website policy.

This website policy does not authorize the disclosure or use of tax return
information when a separate consent is required by law.

Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies

Launch measurement tools

At launch, we expect to use Hostinger’s hosting analytics and Google Search
Console to understand basic website performance, search visibility, and
traffic trends. Search Console provides aggregated search-performance
information and does not place Google Analytics advertising cookies on this
website.

Cookies and local technologies

Hostinger, WordPress, website plugins, and security tools may use cookies or
similar technologies that are necessary to deliver pages, remember
technical settings, protect forms, prevent abuse, and maintain website
functionality. Your browser may allow you to delete or block cookies,
although blocking necessary technologies can affect how the website works.

Future analytics or advertising

We do not currently use Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion tracking,
advertising pixels, or remarketing technologies. If we later add analytics,
advertising, newsletter, or lead-magnet technologies that materially change
our practices, we will update this policy and implement any cookie notice,
consent choice, or opt-out mechanism required by applicable law before or
when those tools are activated.

Spam and security protection

We may use Cloudflare Turnstile, a honeypot field, rate limiting,
server-side validation, or comparable controls to prevent automated
submissions and protect the contact form. These tools may process technical
information needed to distinguish legitimate activity from abuse.

How information may be disclosed

We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers.
To vendors that provide hosting, website administration, email,
    form processing, security, analytics, client-portal,
practice-management, or other operational services on our behalf.
  • Professional advisers.
To attorneys, insurers, consultants, or other advisers when reasonably
necessary and subject to appropriate duties or restrictions.
  • Legal and safety reasons.
When we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process,
professional obligation, or is necessary to protect rights, safety,
    systems, or users.
  • Business transition.
In connection with a possible or completed sale, transfer, succession,
reorganization, or other disposition of all or part of the practice,
subject to applicable professional and legal restrictions.
  • With your direction or consent.
When you ask us to disclose information or otherwise authorize the
    disclosure.

Service providers may receive only the information reasonably related to
the services they perform. Their handling of information is also governed
by their contracts, terms, privacy policies, and applicable law.

No sale or targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not share personal
information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use this website to
target advertisements based on activity across unrelated websites or
services.

If these practices change, we will update this policy and provide any notice
and opt-out method required by applicable law before engaging in the new
practice.

Data retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the
purpose for which it was collected, to maintain business and security
records, to resolve disputes, and to comply with legal, tax, insurance, and
professional obligations.

As noted above, website inquiry information is generally retained for up to
12 months after the most recent meaningful contact unless a longer or shorter
period is appropriate. Records relating to an active or former client are
governed by the engagement, applicable record-retention practices, and legal
or professional requirements rather than this 12-month inquiry period.

Information security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed
to protect information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and
disclosure. These measures may include secure hosting, access controls,
multifactor authentication, encrypted connections, form-security controls,
vendor management, backups, and secure client-portal workflows.

No internet transmission, email system, website, or storage method can be
guaranteed to be completely secure. For that reason, do not use the public
website or ordinary email to transmit sensitive tax, identity, banking, or
financial documents.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights
relating to your personal information. These may include the right to
request access, correction, or deletion, or to receive information about
how personal information is collected and disclosed. Some requests may be
limited by legal exceptions, professional duties, security needs, or our
need to retain records.

You may submit a privacy request by emailing

info@camberosaccounting.com
.
We may need to verify your identity and the scope of the request before
responding. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law,
but we may require proof of the agent’s authority and verification of the
person concerned.

Browser privacy signals

Because there is not a uniform industry standard for “Do Not Track” signals,
this website does not currently respond to them in a separate manner. We do
not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral
advertising. We will recognize legally required browser-based opt-out
signals, such as Global Privacy Control, if our practices or applicable law
require us to do so.

Children’s privacy

This website and our services are intended for adults and businesses. They
are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 13 through the website. If you
believe a child has provided personal information through this website,
please contact us so we can review and address the matter.

Third-party websites and services

This website may link to TaxDome, government websites, professional
resources, social platforms, or other third-party services. We do not
control those services and are not responsible for their privacy, security,
content, or availability. Review the privacy terms of a third-party service
before providing information to it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our website, service
providers, information practices, or legal obligations. The “Last updated”
date at the top of this page identifies the most recent revision. Material
changes will be communicated through the website or another appropriate
method when required by law.

We will review this policy periodically and at least annually to help keep
it accurate.
